Ultrasonido4d.com

ultrasonido4d.jpg

A site in Spanish, with some English translation, to advertise a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner in Guadalajara, Mexico. They were looking for a clean, informative interface which displayed what the machine was capable of and how to get in touch. The site also includes embedded YouTube video which we transferred from a DVD to embed on the site.

Dr. Juan Hernandez of Ultrasonido4d was kind enough to write a testimonial too. Here it is in Spanish and mytranslation in English below.

¡¡¡ Totalmente Satisfecho !!!

Completely satisfied!!! I had no idea the site was going to look as good as this, an excellent job, delivered on time, as is the English style, with very good ideas and a competitive price that was worth every penny. I would recommend you to anyone or any small business looking to make their first steps into business on the Web.

Signo Tequila A.C.

signto-stamp-e.jpg signotequilalogo200.jpg

Signo Tequila is a new organization based in Guadalajara, Mexico involved in organizing conferences, producing quality assessments and many other services for the tequila industry. They wanted two logos, one for their stationery that looked like a rubber stamp and another, a wax effect that can be used to approve quality tequilas.

Their site is a portal to all kinds of information for tequila consumers and producers and includes many photos I took myself in and around Tequila, Jalisco. Using the WordPress platform means it is once again very easy to update with new information and links. Since the company is new and still developing its content many areas of the site are still not finalized. Until this happens there are Google adSense ads on the page to generate a small income to cover hosting costs in the meantime.

This photo of mine was selected as one of five winners of a competition run by Guadalajara’s newspaper El Mural. It’s titled “Yo no fui” , “It wasn’t me”.

  • My wife, Sita, is a Sociologist and had an article published in the new glossy table-top quarterly, Gastronomica (their site).

My photos accompanied her piece entitled Tequila Shots. Download it here as a PDF.

  • Dr. Alvarez had a site but it wasn’t attracting as many visitors as he wanted. He commissioned me to create a site using the same content but better optimized for search engines. I also took the opportunity to reorganize the information and add some usability features.

He no longer needs the old site…

    Centro Educativo Nueva Era

    ceduca.jpg

This is a site for a primary school in Guadalajara, Mexico. It’s a (non WordPress) brochure site which provides lots of information about the school for prospective parents and current students alike though it does feature a wordpress news area. There’s a gallery, a center where all the forms parents need are downloadable, has a neat little Flash animation of their logo, has ever-present contact information and shows what a fine educational institution it is.

The school’s director, Lic. Rosa María Amezcua, was delighted as you’ll read in her original words and my translation below:

Our recently debuted web site turned out very, very well. The parents love it and have said that it looks very welcoming and expresses who we are and what we do, it inspires confidence, security and friendliness. Gwyn worked with us closely making sure all the time that the site would look how we needed and wanted it to; and since we’re new to the whole Internet thing, Gwyn was patient, used all of his creativity and walked us through the whole journey… he took photos, listened to us, got involved and explained more than once what we needed to know to get the most out of this new media. We are overjoyed with the end result and still want more! More of his advice, professionalism, and meticulous, personal touch. All this is thanks to Gwyn, thanks to his knowledge and because he handed himself over to this project. I hope many other people have the pleasure and chance to work with him.

    I’m blushing now.

Kevin wanted a site and logo to give his Bay Area construction business a quality web presence. I designed a small (non-wordpress) site with a Flash entrance page, gallery and contact forms and created a classy logo that expresses elegance and hard work.
