About
I don’t consider myself a professional photographer by any stretch of the imagination. Basically I take a LOT of photos and if just 5% of them turn out well then that’s plenty for me. I try to capture the colour of daily life wherever I am, seeking to present unique facets of local culture in way I hope is respectful yet fun.
This photo blog is a result of years of fancying having somewhere to post my favourite photos without having to provide too much text to go with them. Please comment if you enjoy them; I’m open to constructive criticism, alternative titles, observations and pretty much everything else bar spam.
If you’d like to see all my photos, the good people over at Flickr.com have 9500 odd of them and counting uploaded for all to see. All my photos are licensed under Creative Commons which means you’re free to use them for non-commercial purposes as long as my name (GwynF) is credited. A link back to agaveweb.com would be appreciated but is entirely optional.
I’ve also got a blog where I send dailyish virtual postcards to anyone who’s wondering what I’m up to these days. It might be interesting if you know me personally. Your mileage may vary.
You can subscribe to the photo RSS feed and have new pictures delivered to your aggregator daily. Find out more about RSS feeds here.
I recently ditched my point and shoot Kodak Zoomy Camera, and invested in a Pentax DSLR, K110 or something similar and I’m loving the 100-300 zoom lense… Post production is almost always done with Google’s cheap and cheerful Picasa software and very occasionally Photoshop.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or just to say hello. It’s the social aspect of this world wide interweb that makes it so worthwhile.
