Let ’em loose

There was an art collective in Oaxaca stencilling (Banksy-style) creations all over the town. We managed to get to the official opening of a gallery exhibit- Disociales. I’m fairly sure this is by the same folks- it was in a little boutique with “no photography allowed” signs. Made to be broken, etc…

In other news, I’ve made a few tweaks to this site, a prize if you can spot them… nothing major but you might like to try out the Random Image Slideshow (beta)

Quadrophenia

This summer I gave away a couple of my old TTV cameras to some mates back in the UK but I picked up another one t’other day off of eBay for the princely sum of 11 dollars. I’m sorely tempted to do a 365, one-a-day TTV project for this Flickr pool, but i barely had time to play pacman on Facebook today let alone indulge my creative side.

Anyroad. Here’s my collection of guitars in my little office from various angles. Hope you approve.

Kodak Duaflex II

Here’s the little camera that prompted me to register the domain vintageviewfinders.com. It was a bargain all round. I’ve not taken many TTV shots lately, but will soon…

If you’re reading this on the site and not via email, I spent a couple of hours trying to make it so you can click on the main photo to view the next image. It was surprisingly tricky but I managed it in the end. Now you don’t have to fiddle around trying to find the link each time. There’s never been a better time to have a look through the archives (this is photo #251 😀 )

Also on the cards is a button to switch the background to white or grey depending on your mood. Don’t hold your breath for that one mind, but I’m on it.

Cwoffee

A collage of photos with this new lense thing that started last night and finished this morning.

Happy Friday 13th/ Valentine’s depending on your blog browsing habits.

Bokandle

I’m loving this new lense. It means I can finally shoot decent shots indoors among other things… You’ll have to take me word for that though, here’s a candle and I think it’s a window reflected on the countertop? Abstraction…

The Cute Book

This one’s from Powell’s cooking and crafts bookshop on Hawthorn(e?). Taken through the fisheye obviously, which has been enjoying something of a renaissance in my affections of late.
Dr.Sita’s in Tulane till Friday so Me and Atticus might finally get round to getting some pictures printed and sent to my beloved subscribers.
